Residual Charges and the Treatment of Batteries Options Consultation
This consultation seeks feedback on how the residual charge should be applied for batteries, and for storage more broadly. We know battery storage is something customers are keen for us to carefully work through, and we want to give it full consideration as we continue to develop a proposed new TPM.
Please email us at email@example.com if you have any questions. We are also continuing to publish questions and answers here.
The Electricity Authority also published two relevant documents on 22 March 2021:
- Electricity storage and residual transmission charges by Sense Partners
- Letter to Transpower on TPM residual charges and the treatment of batteries
