Community projects benefit from CommunityCare Fund

16 October 2012

Transpower announced today that it has awarded a CommunityCare Fund grant to 23 community organisations across New Zealand, totalling $422,803 in funding from its latest funding round.
The CommunityCare Fund was set up in 2007 to assist communities affected by Transpower’s projects and assets, with projects that add real value and benefit to communities as a whole. Funding rounds are held twice yearly.

Transpower’s General Manager People and Corporate Relations Cynthia Brophy said that the applications received were from projects that would be highly beneficial to their community.

“It’s great to see so many initiatives throughout New Zealand that really benefit whole communities.

“We recognise the impact that our assets have on communities and are pleased to be able to give these local initiatives some financial assistance so they can successfully complete their projects,” she said.
