Transpower has today released its Annual Report and Annual Review for the financial year ending 30 June 2020.
The reports follow the release of Transpower’s Annual Result and financial statements on 21 August 2020.
Chair Pip Dunphy says this year the Board has progressed its ambitions to deliver a more integrated story of performance by following the integrated reporting framework.
As well as meeting the NZX Corporate Governance Code, our Annual Report this year includes an explanation of our pathway for the adoption of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) reporting standards.
“We continue to report on our annual carbon emissions and the progress we are making towards meeting reduction targets, in the Annual Review. Here, our focus is on explaining how we create value for all our stakeholders as part of our progress toward adopting the Integrated Reporting framework.
“The Review includes detail on specific business strategies, such as our newly revised Sustainability Strategy and work that has informed it, including a Materiality Review.
“We believe the value we create is shared more widely than our immediate stakeholders and the workforce we employ. We have a unique role to play in setting out and enabling, the transformation of Aotearoa New Zealand’s economy towards carbon neutrality,” she said.
