Our Consumer Advisory Panel provides a voice for consumers and a connection between Transpower and the wider community. The panel meets at least three times a year and is made up of representatives from business and consumer advocacy groups. Our Panel helps us to better understand the needs, issues, and opportunities for New Zealanders as the country transitions to a low-carbon economy.
Through our panel we bring together a broad and diverse group of people who represent all aspects of society, including those on lower incomes. It acts as an independent advisory body providing us with advice on a range of issues and opportunities.
The purpose of the Consumer Advisory Panel is to:
- Help Transpower gain an understanding of consumers’ interests and concerns and integrate these into business planning;
- Provide views on relevant issues, as well as Transpower’s strategic approaches and priorities, and grid investment plans; and
- Strengthen Transpower’s connection and trust with consumers.
