Consultation
From August to October 2021, Transpower sought feedback on a wide range of options for future grid investments to meet the needs of a decarbonised future.
The NZGP1 Longlist consultation document focused on the part of the grid backbone between the High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) link between the North and South Islands, the transmission lines in the central North Island, and the lines around the Wairakei area.
Transpower was particularly interested to know whether our picture of the future and scenario assumptions were reasonable, and whether there is anything missing from the longlist or further criteria for decision-making.
Consultation closed on 1 October 2021. Thank you to all who submitted.
