The last change to the frequency keeper selection methodology was made at 12th August 2015, this was to improve the efficiency in selecting the lowest cost provider in each trading period in each island.
As a result of investigations and feedback from service providers and other interested parties the frequency keeper selection is now based on:
- the availability fee; plus
- constrained on or off costs required to get the frequency keeper to the mid-point of its band
